Connerton Leads the Parade in 2017

Land O’ Lakes, FL –Connerton, Pasco County’s largest, master-planned, mixed-use community, was chosen as the Showcase Community for the 2017 Parade of Homes by the Tampa Bay Builders Association. Throughout the month of April, the Parade of Homes gave prospective homebuyers exclusive access to 91 model homes in the Tampa Bay Area. With five fully-furnished model homes on display, Connerton’s selection to lead this year’s Parade was a fitting choice to showcase not only new home construction but a growing community of 700 homes just 30 miles north of downtown Tampa. It was also an opportunity for Connerton to display its first-class amenities, including an $8 million, 10,000 square-foot clubhouse along with top-rated schools, a hospital, supermarket, and other retail stores to serve the needs of residents. Writer Richard Suttmeier, Forbes.com*, noted “Connerton has returned to the vibrancy envisioned by city planners back in 2000.” *

“The 2017 Parade of Homes was a huge success at Connerton, this year’s Showcase Community. Hundreds of parade-goers visited the 5 models presented by Homes by WestBay, M/I Homes, Taylor Morrison and Lennar,” stated Stew Gibbons, Connerton General Manager. Three community builder models were Parade of Homes Award Winners: the Verona model of Homes by WestBay, the Kentwood III Model of Taylor Morrison and the Roxbury model of M/I Homes. Connerton’s models exhibit the newest designs, styles and layouts; the latest technologies and the most energy efficient features. Parade-goers became purchasers and as a result the community can claim 58 sales since the Parade opened on April 1st, pushing total sales for 2017 to 105, 56% higher than sales at the same time in 2016.

In addition, Connerton and builder Lennar partnered with Operation FINALLY HOME to surprise a well-deserving veteran and his family with a fully furnished mortgage-free home. On April 29, at the close of the Parade, keys to the new Lennar home in Connerton were presented to Iraq-war veteran, U.S. Army Sgt. David Roca and his family at a special dedication ceremony. The celebration ran in tandem with the Parade, which allowed Parade-goers and realtors to participate in honoring this deserving veteran. “This was Connerton’s finest hour,” stated Stew Gibbons, as he addressed the audience of dignitaries, neighbors and supporters. Sgt. Roca was overcome with emotion as he accepted the keys and thanked all who had made his new home a reality. http://www.connerton.com/operation-finally-home/
